When my family embarked on a major renovation project for our General Motors dealership in Cape May Court House, we were quite apprehensive about the prospect of being able to secure a local contractor who could handle this very complicated and demanding job. In this instance, it was more than true considering that we would have to close the majority of the facility during construction and use temporary facilities. Most of the estimates we received were for a six-month plus construction phase. Skip and his crew had our building ready in three months, saving much aggravation and expense. His quality of work was superior and access to Skip and the site manager was constant. Every phase of the project was done on or ahead of schedule. Skip Holtzapfel built our home in Cape May about 18 years ago. We had an architect who put the plans out for a bid and ended up with six different bids. The home is on Beach Avenue in Cape May and is over 5,000 square feet with extensive decking. Skip's bid was the most reasonable and I was assured by our architect through his past experience that Skip's company did excellent work. Skip started the project and completed it on time. We were and are thrilled with our home. Since the home has been completed whenever we have had any problem due to the elements (we're right across from the beach) we have called Skip and he has been very responsive. Since we've moved in, we did a significant alteration on the second floor which we had Skip do. Once again he started the project on time and completed it when he said he would and the work was outstanding. Skip and his company are professional, reliable and trustworthy. I cannot recommend them highly enough if you are considering either building a house or having work done on an existing house.
